YZU opens teacher training program for universities in Fujian元智辦福建高校師資培訓班 分享磨課師課程

To improve the quality of teachers in universities, Xiamen University of Technology cooperates with YZU to offer the Teacher Training Program for teachers with mathematical physics or engineering background.  The two-week program, supported by the Education Dept. of Fujian Province in China, started from April 11 until 22. 30 teachers coming from 22 universities in Fujian stayed in YZU for advanced training courses.

The joint teacher training program is the first one with major scale for both sides’ academic exchange. The program not only increases the mutual energy in teaching but also stabilizes the academic relationship between Taiwan and China. Pei-Chann Chang (張百棧), Dean of Academic Affairs Office, said that it was a program with high quality; teachers may learn the theories and practical experiences. The program opened several workshops and shared teaching experiences in MOOC courses, including know-how of material preparation, online discussion, the idea of turn-over classroom and the application of information assistance. Those teachers who attended the program participated in the class of high education trends, challenge the way of turn-over classroom, shared the latest teaching methods and classroom management tips. Teachers benefited from the efforts which the YZU and its partner made.

大陸福建省教育廳為提升大學院校教師的職業水平，委託元智大學與廈門理工學院共同承辦「福建應用型本科高校理工領域師資閩台聯合培訓班」，自4月11日至22日，來自福建22所高校的專業帶頭人與骨幹教師們，共計30位老師到元智大學進行為期二週的集中培訓。

廈門城市職業學院豐海老師擔任本團領隊，他表示，春天是各種養分都很充足的一個季節，很榮幸接受元智大學各種養分的滋潤，希望學成之後，回到各自學校將所學傳遞給學生，相信兩岸的學術交流，會因為元智大學的貢獻而變得更加精采。

元智大學教務處為此次承辦培訓班的主辦單位，元智大學教務長張百棧表示，為推展理論與實務互動學習及經驗分享，精心籌畫一系列創新課程，以工作坊形式教學，並分享磨課師（MOOCs大陸稱為慕課專題）介紹教材製作、線上討論、翻轉教室及資訊輔助教學之應用。張百棧表示，整個課程內容有分析國際高等教育趨勢、挑戰及創新轉型因應之道等，並分享最新教學方法、教室經營管理技巧，以改善師生互動。課程中並安排參訪瞭解臺灣產業發展趨勢，特別安排遠東集團相關產業如遠傳電訊、東聯化學、遠東研究中心參觀。

元智大學表示，整個課程依專業研究領域分組座談，瞭解兩岸學者在教學及研究的策略方向，以及學術生涯發展的規劃，有助建立未來合作網路。在學生方面則邀請陸生及台生一起座談，從學生角度比較兩岸高教，分享學習經驗。

「福建本科高校和高職院校理工領域師資閩台聯合培訓計畫」為兩岸首開大規模的學術交流，此次交流培訓班不僅能共同提升教學能量，奠定兩岸紮實、寬廣的學術合作基礎，也深具正面意義。
