Yuan Ze University Professor Chin-Fu Chen Shares Insights on “Leadership in Decision-Making” with In-Depth Analysis of Decision Science.元智陳勁甫教授分享「決策領導力」深入解析決策科學

On August 30, Yuan Ze University’s Management Competency Development and Research Center hosted a corporate talent development seminar as part of its Industry-University Alliance for Business Development. The seminar featured a keynote lecture on “Leadership in Decision-Making” delivered by Professor Chin-Fu Chen, who holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from the Virginia Military Institute, as well as a master’s degree in Engineering Sciences and a Ph.D. in Decision Science from Harvard University. Professor Chen is a renowned expert in decision analysis, negotiation, and crisis management. After returning to Taiwan, he served in the military for 19 years and was recognized as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons and a model of excellence in the national armed forces. Currently a professor at Yuan Ze University and a board member for several companies, Professor Chen actively promotes the research and application of decision science, providing strategic guidance in leadership and decision-making to businesses.

元智大學管理才能發展與研究中心於8/30為中心的企業經營發展產學聯盟舉辦人才培訓課程專題演講，演講主題為「決策領導力」，由美國維吉尼亞軍校電機與數學雙學士、哈佛大學工程科學碩士及決策科學博士陳勁甫教授主講。陳勁甫教授是決策分析、談判與危機管理領域的知名專家，回國後投身軍旅19年，並獲選為十大傑出青年、國軍楷模。現任元智大學教授及多家企業的董事，陳教授積極推動決策科學的研究與應用，為企業提供領導力與決策方面的戰略指導。

演講中，陳教授以「決策領導力」為題，深入探討了決策在組織管理中的核心角色。陳教授指出，儘管決策看似簡單，實際上卻是困擾人類數千年的難題。從決策的核心挑戰出發，他剖析了決策過程中的諸多困難，如資訊不完全、複雜的因果關係、多重目標間的衝突等。他強調，決策不僅僅是一個選擇的過程，更是對個人及組織價值觀的重大考驗，這些決策將深遠影響組織文化與領導者的人格塑造。

陳教授進一步闡述了決策作為管理活動核心的重要性。他引用美國前總統艾森豪的名言「決策是領導的本質」，並強調高層領導者的主要職責是透過有效的決策管理來制定組織的願景與策略，以創造持續的價值。整場演講中，陳教授與聯盟會員展開了深入的互動與討論。陳教授回應會員提問時強調，領導者在檢視決策品質時，不僅需要遵循正確的決策步驟，還必須具備承擔必要損失的勇氣。

演講結束時，元智企業經營發展產學聯盟執行長李伯謙教授分享了身邊的案例，強調情緒管理在決策中的重要性。他指出，控制情緒並保持冷靜，是理性思維和正確決策中不可或缺的一部分。而管理學院院長黃敏萍教授則從組織心理學的角度，探討「直覺、原則、價值觀以及對人性的信任」是影響領導者做出決策的關鍵。

整場演講內容深入淺出，陳教授的專業見解使在場聽眾受益匪淺，並激發大家對決策科學更深層次的思考。演講在熱烈的掌聲中圓滿結束，產學聯盟會員們帶著豐富的知識和新的思維回到各自的崗位，為未來的挑戰做好充分準備。
