YZU display the design of milk-cans castle in Taoyuan Land Art Festival 桃園地景藝術節 元智展示奶罐城堡「MU孕育的秘境」

2017 Taoyuan Land Art Festival is held at Guanyin and Bade Districts, Taoyuan from August 18 to September 3. Prof. C.K Lin from Department of Art and Design, Yuan Ze University with students designed the work together, named as MU the land of fertilization, which used milk cans as outdoor installation in Guangfu Community .It was initiated by the idea that the life comes from the land and it stressed the connection between the landscape and human beings.

Prof. C.K Lin said that the theme of the design is ” fertilization” which means the lifecycle of grass, cow, milk and new life.  Grass is the main food for cow herd and the milk produced by cow herd is one of the foods for the infants.  These three (the land, cow herd and infants) stay in the relations of mutual fertilization. The outdoor creation of milk cans is based on the concept of land breeding life and puts greater emphasis on the combination of landscape and men.

「2017桃園地景藝術節」於8月18日至9月3日在桃園觀音、八德舉辦，元智大學藝術與設計系副教授林楚卿帶領藝設系學生陸亦恆、陳虹諭、任敬葭、陳芳昱、陳欣渝等人，共同創作「MU孕育的秘境」，以回收奶粉罐製作的戶外裝置，放置於觀音廣福社區牛場旁的草地上，以「大地孕育生命」作為創作發想的起始，強調地景與人的結合。

創作者林楚卿表示，「MU孕育的秘境」設計主題為「孕育」，藉由牧草、牛、牛奶、新生命之間的生命循環，作為裝置的創作元素。大地牧草為牛群主要食物，而牛群所產出的牛奶則成為人類孕育新生命(嬰幼兒)的食物來源之一，三者之間(大地、牛群、寶寶)存在著相互「孕育」的關係。作品為回收奶粉罐製作的戶外裝置，以「大地孕育生命」作為創作發想的起始，強調地景與人的結合。

林楚卿表示，作品所使用的回收奶粉罐，都是四歲兒子，從出生喝牛奶到現在所收集的奶粉罐，希望為逐漸長大的兒子製作一個遊樂裝置，將奶粉罐設計成兒子成長的故事秘境，讓孩子可以在奶粉罐中找尋成長的記憶，在這堆積的空間內玩耍，同時可兼具教育意義，讓小孩理解食物來源與環境之間的關係。目前此裝置將於展示結束後送給兒子當「奶罐城堡」玩樂。

此作品除了強調與環境的關係，也希望能與民眾互動，讓民眾可以鑽進去，猶如小時候窩在公園中水泥柱的經驗，藉由感受內部奶粉罐所投影的成長輪廓光影，得以體驗生命的「孕育」過程，重拾人與環境間密切的關係。

林楚卿說，裝置中，以太陽光影創造「孕育」生命循環的故事，螺旋筒狀掛滿奶粉罐的裝置，其內部空間民眾可進入，體驗奶粉罐上蓋輪廓切割所投射的光影(不同時間會有不同光影)，創造生命故事的秘境。此裝置放置在空曠的草地，清風徐徐，可聽到吊掛在裝置上的奶粉罐碰撞的牛鈴鐺發出悅耳的聲音。
