Stepping into a New World of Stories: Students’ Exhibit and Guided Tours Enhance Reading Skills.走進書「蹤」新世界 學生佈展導覽引領閱讀力

Professor Wei-Jen Chen from Yuan Ze University’s General Education Center led students from the Reading Industry Chain: Guided Tours and Practice course in curating an exhibition project inspired by the classic story The Wizard of Oz. The exhibition, which took place from December 9 to 13 at the university’s Tianhe Bookhouse, was titled The Trail of Oz.

Students were divided into four groups, each focusing on one of the goals pursued by Dorothy, the Lion, the Tin Man, and the Scarecrow. They carefully selected ten books related to their respective themes and engaged in various tasks, including writing exhibit descriptions, designing promotional materials and posters, arranging the exhibition space, and conducting guided tours in class. Through their efforts, they created an immersive experience where visitors could explore the world of literature, connect with the characters’ journeys, and enjoy a multi-sensory interaction with the stories.

元智大學通識教育部陳巍仁老師帶領《閱讀產業鏈導覽與實作》課程的同學,以經典故事《綠野仙蹤》為主軸,策劃了名為「綠野書蹤」的展覽佈展活動。整個展覽於12月9日至13日在校內天河書屋展出,學生分成四組,分別以桃樂絲、獅子、錫人及稻草人所追尋的目標為主題,精心挑選十本與各主題相關的書籍。學生們從撰寫文案、設計文宣品與海報,到規劃展場佈置與課堂導覽,全面參與其中,創造了一個讓觀展者能夠透過視覺與聽覺多重體驗深入書中世界,感受角色生命歷程的沉浸式展覽。

陳巍仁老師表示,將佈展實作納入課程,除了訓練學生的協作能力,更希望讓學生體會「產業」的核心在於與大眾的直接互動。展覽佈置不僅僅是課堂報告的延伸,而是一個更鮮活、更具體的生命體,它在空間中展現自己的獨特性,與觀者產生互動與連結。

「綠野書蹤」佈展的理念源自於2023年桃園市圖書館聯合各獨立書店舉辦的「書暢桃園:綠野書蹤大冒險」閱讀市集。為何選擇《綠野仙蹤》作為佈展主題?陳巍仁老師解釋,這本兒童文學經典故事以其清晰的支線、鮮明的人物描寫和深刻的理念,適合孩童理解,同時篇幅適中,內容完整。此外,該書的新譯本由逗點文創出版,透過閱讀活動支持獨立出版社,正契合課程「閱讀產業」的理念。

《閱讀產業鏈導覽與實作》是全國唯一結合閱讀產業的課程,陳巍仁老師表示,這門課不僅教學生如何「讀書」,更讓他們了解閱讀產業的運作模式與盈虧計算,並期望培養出具有深度與素養的消費者,進而讓閱讀產業在市場上持續蓬勃發展。

藉由這次「綠野書蹤」的實作活動,同學們不僅體驗了閱讀產業的實際操作,還提升了協作與創意能力,展現了結合文學與現實產業的創新學習模式。
