YZU Parents’ Day opens on Nov 21 元智大學家長訪校 傾聽家長意見

400 parents show at the YZU campus on Parents’ Day. The Students Affairs Office gives a presentation about the academic programs that students attend and campus environment introduction.

Parents attending the event discuss learning in the university and campus landscaping. Many parents raise issues about scooter riding and information in public domain.  Some of them suggest the University prohibits motorbike riding due to the safety concern.

Acting President Tze Chi Hsu (徐澤志) says he appreciates parents raising many important issues for students’ sack. He replies that scooter riding is not allowed on campus.  Mr. Hsu also praises YZU students are independent, and parents should be proud of them.

Head of Students Affairs Office Ying Li (李穎) says it has been 15 years since YZU held the event.  Those opinions given by parents are precious to YZU for the future development.

元智大學11/21於有庠廳舉行「家長訪校日」，共約有400位家長參加，希望多瞭解子女學習狀況與校務發展現況。

此次活動家長提出許多問題，有關於學生學習狀況，也有關於校園美化、增加紅花的意見，更有家長關心學生校園安全，希望學校可以阻止學生騎機車，以及學生資訊公開的問題。

元智代理校長徐澤志表示，歡迎家長蒞校訪問及提問，站在學校角度希望與家長密切配合，提供學生最好的學習。徐澤志表示，上大學後，家長應學習放手，讓學生學習自主與獨立，對於學生未來也是個好的開始；至於校園安全及騎機車問題，校方一直以來不允許機車進入，也持續營造及改進更安全的校園環境，提供學生最好的讀書環境。

元智大學學務長李穎表示，此次是元智第15年舉辦「家長訪校日」，歷年來家長們在活動中提出的許多意見，都成為學校的重要參考與檢討改進的方向。今年有近400名家長報名參加，以利瞭解學生在校的近況。

接續安排家長及同學前往各系所，深入認識各系的教學特色，也讓各系老師與家長們進行交流，家長可以藉此機會得知學生在校的學習狀況，老師們也可與家長做進一步溝通。

元智大學長期以來，重視家長的意見，家長同時是元智口碑行銷的最佳宣傳者，除了安排答客問雙向溝通外，家長也參觀學校的建築、各項設備，並提出許多寶貴建議與想法，以供學校辦學檢討改進。
