YZU professors own patent on colorful QR code technology 元智資傳團隊彩色二維條碼專利 顛覆黑白QR碼可與CIS融合

The new QR code technology uses colored images to generate codes, instead of a b&w prototype, attracting target groups even more.  It is compatible with the QR Code scanning system and the Corporate Identity System (CIS), more easily applying to marketing, logistics business, and brand recognition. The developers, Professor Jen-Tsan Wang (王任瓚) and Professor Pei-Yu Lin(林珮瑜) from Dept. of Information Communication, own the patent on colorful QR code technology.

The QR code technology with a patent, winning a gold medal in 2016 Taipei Int’l Invention Show & Techomart (INST), scans the precise information based on original QR code. Also, for the best quality of images, the QR code needs to fit the colored images to decrease the size of QR model.

由元智大學資傳系教授王任瓚及林珮瑜團隊所開發之專利彩色二維條碼，結合彩色圖片以產生彩色圖像QR碼，顛覆傳統黑白QR碼，視覺化的效果不但一目了然，可相容於QR碼掃瞄系統，也可融入廠商之CIS(企業識別)，廣泛應用於行銷、物流及廣告識別等面向，其繽紛色彩QR碼圖像比起傳統黑白QR碼，更能引吸消費者，提高使用接受度與能見度。

元智資傳系副教授林珮瑜表示，開發此專利完全顛覆傳統黑白QR碼外觀，能將黑白QR碼與彩色影像結合，產生具高度識別的圖像QR碼，呈現一目了然的視覺化效果。林珮瑜說，此技術符合QR碼標準規範，考慮QR碼模組與彩色影像的關連性及編解碼能力，能相容於任何手機或條碼掃瞄系統。

此專利，在今年(2016)台北國際發明暨技術交易展獲得金牌獎項，在設計上它需要保留原始QR碼的資料內容，將來可正確掃瞄出QR資料；另一方面，需要能儘量與彩色影像相融，降低QR模組大小，以顯示良好的圖像效果。

林珮瑜表示，此專利產出的彩色圖像QR碼，可廣泛應用於行動商務、廣告、行銷及物流等交易，突顯個人及企業品牌識別度，同時也可以有效應用於印刷宣傳及社群媒體創作。其繽紛色彩QR碼圖像比起傳統黑白QR碼，更能引吸消費者，提高使用接受度與能見度。
