YZU team win in SCSB Fintech Hackathon Competition元智資訊管理系學生 獲上海銀行金融科技競賽第一名

YZU team from Dept. Information Management participated in SCSB Fintech Hackathon Competition and came out first after defeat 89 teams.

Prof Liang-Chih Yu (禹良治) said that the team developed an analytical Platform for financial social Media in the competition. By using natural language, processing, sentiment analysis and deep learning, it can automatically extract hot topic, sentiment indicators, financial events and industrial chain from internet news, financial magazines and social media. The platform, supporting several applications such as investment model, financial supervision, credit risk, smart financial advisor, clients developing and industrial analysis, has gained the praises of the judges and won the first place.

元智大學資管系學生邱紹哲、應芝曦(現就讀中央資管所)，參加上海銀行Fintech未來競技場「滬港台金融科技創新Hackathon校園競賽」，總計有89組團隊報名參賽，在入圍的20支各大專院校隊伍中脫穎而出，榮獲第一名。

本次競賽主題涵蓋社交金融、數位金融、普惠金融、區塊鏈、人工智慧及物聯網，前三名隊伍將與香港、上海的前三名菁英團隊較勁，「決戰上海」。指導老師元智資管系禹良治教授表示，團隊以「金融社群媒體分析平台」參賽，運用自然語言處理、情感分析及深度學習技術，自動從網路新聞、財經雜誌及社群媒體中萃取熱門議題、情感指標、金融事件及產業鏈關係，可支援投資建模、金融監理、信用風險、智慧理專、社群客戶開發及產業分析等各項應用，最後在競賽過程中一路過關斬將，獲得來自學界、業界及創投等七位評審的青睞，榮獲第一名。

在社群媒體引領的大數據時代，非結構化文本處理技術顯得格外重要，透過該平台的輔助，大量的非結構化(質化)數據得以轉換成業界熟悉的結構化(量化)數據，兩者結合可協助業者開發具差異化之藍海新應用，提升企業競爭力。
